Sydney FC's Indiana Dos Santos has made an emotional return to competitive football after a long recovery from an ACL injury. The talented teenager, who was a key player for Sydney FC before her injury, came off the bench for Bulls FC Academy in their recent NPL NSW Women’s match. This comeback comes after more than 12 months on the sidelines, during which Dos Santos worked tirelessly to regain her fitness. The injury occurred while she was representing the Future Matildas in June last year, leading to her missing the entire Ninja A-League season. Throughout her rehabilitation, Dos Santos remained dedicated, training in the gym while her teammates practiced at the Sky Park training facility. Her return to competitive action is not only a personal triumph but also a significant moment for Sydney FC, as she is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in Australian football. Having already represented her country at youth international level, Dos Santos was recently ranked 17th in the NXGN Top 25 Teenagers in world football, highlighting her potential and the excitement surrounding her future.
